Gola Sizzlers, known for its North Indian flavours in the sizzling platter format, has opened its first Mumbai outlet at Times Square, Andheri East.

Founded by Naresh Kapoor in 1988, the brand was Delhi's first sizzler restaurant.

The Mumbai launch marks the beginning of a nationwide expansion, with plans for outlets in Indian cities including Hyderabad and Bengaluru, as reported by ETHospitalityWorld.com.

The expansion into Mumbai is led by the second-generation Kapoor brothers, Rajat and Manik. Rajat brings a contemporary design aesthetic to the brand’s interiors, while Manik's strategic vision guides its growth. The brothers aim to reimagine Gola Sizzlers for modern diners while honouring their father's legacy.

In a joint statement, the brothers said: “The launch of Gola Sizzlers’ flagship outlet in Mumbai is more than just our first step in India’s most dynamic food market — it’s a homecoming. With over 30 outlets already igniting palates across North and West India, this is a testament to our journey from a beloved regional chain to a nationally recognised brand rooted in nostalgia and quality.

"This milestone marks the beginning of our next growth phase: we’re set to unveil multiple outlets across Mumbai and expand into other key metros, driving our network to over 50 locations within the next 12 months. For us, it’s about building on our legacy while redefining multi-cuisine comfort dining — boldly, consistently, and with hearts on fire.”

The brand's expansion includes new global-Indian fusions and health-forward dishes, appealing to a diverse customer base.
