US quick-service restaurant (QSR) franchisor Jack in the Box has signed a development agreement to establish 15 new restaurants across the US state of Georgia.

The move is part of the company's strategic growth in the southeastern US.

It is the brand's first entry to the Peach State.

The new sites have not yet been selected but will be strategically placed to focus on burgeoning markets such as Augusta, Macon and Savannah.

Jack in the Box is known for its burgers, chicken sandwiches, tacos, milkshakes, breakfast items and late-night snacking options.

The upcoming Georgia locations will offer service options including dine-in, drive-through and online ordering via mobile, catering to the convenience of customers with round-the-clock operations.

Jack in the Box chief development officer Tim Linderman stated: “This new franchise commitment represents a significant step forward in our strategic expansion across the southeastern US.

“With the addition of new franchise commitments [...] we're excited to bring our craveable 24/7 menu to even more communities. Georgia's thriving business environment and strong consumer base make it a perfect fit for our continued growth.”

In addition to the planned openings, Jack in the Box is looking for franchise partners to expand its presence in Georgia and other markets across the US.

Headquartered in San Diego, California, Jack in the Box operates and franchises 2,200 restaurants across 22 states, along with Mexican American QSR chain Del Taco which has 600 restaurants across 16 US states.

In June 2024 Jack in the Box announced its plans to expand in Florida with the opening of 15 new franchise locations, ten in Orlando and five in the city of Tallahassee.
