Mexico Ceaty food hub set up by Jason Dady, Ashkenazy Acquisitions

Mexico Ceaty will introduce bar and restaurant concepts including Tres Arcos, Dos Cantinas, Dulce Aroma and El Ultimo.

Mexico Ceaty, a new multi-concept dining and entertainment venue, is set to open at San Antonio River Walk, a pedestrian street in San Antonio, Texas, US in early 2025.

The venue is being launched as a collaborative effort between the Jason Dady Restaurant Group and Ashkenazy Acquisition, a real estate investment company owned by American billionaire Ben Ashkenazy.

Located at 849 E Commerce Street, Mexico Ceaty will honour the culinary heritage of Mexico and San Antonio, transforming the current food court within the Shops at Rivercenter into a new destination.

The new space will feature eateries, a coffee shop inspired by a panaderia [Spanish bakery], art activations, a stage for live music and a marketplace.

The 21,000ft² venue is part of the centre's ongoing evolution into an experiential retail and leisure destination.

The space is being designed by architect Frank Valadez of SA Partnership, working in conjunction with the Jason Dady Restaurant Group.

Mexico Ceaty will introduce bar and restaurant concepts including Tres Arcos - a full-service restaurant specialising in Tex-Mex cuisine - and El Ultimo, an agave [spirits distilled from the agave plant]-tasting room with a focus on artisanal mezcals [spirits made from agave] and aged tequilas.

The space will also feature Dulce Aroma, a café offering Mexican pastries, churros and breakfast tacos, and Dos Cantinas, a 300-seat bar area with sunken garden sitting areas and elevated lofts.

The main plaza of Mexico Ceaty will feature food stands such as a ceviche [fish] bar, a tortilleria, a taqueria [taco stand], a fruteria [juice bar] and a Baja burrito stand.

FSR magazine quoted Jason Dady Restaurant Group co-founder and chef Jason Dady: “Our goal with Mexico Ceaty is to create a space where locals and visitors can enjoy flavours and traditions of Mexico while celebrating the unique spirit of our city.

“We’re excited to bring a variety of concepts to this space, with each element designed to offer an immersive experience. We have everything from paletas [caramel lollipops] and churros to street tacos and wagyu fajitas across an abundance of both quick and full-service outlets.”
