American multinational sandwich chain Jimmy John’s has branched into the pizza sector with the introduction of two new pizza-inspired Toasted Sandwiches.

The limited-time offerings will be available to customers from 8 September 2025.

The venture includes the Toasted Sicilian Pizza Sandwich, which combines salami, capocollo, and ham with mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, oregano and basil, and the Toasted Three Cheese Pizza Sandwich for those who prefer a meat-free choice.

This features three cheeses — mozzarella, provolone and parmesan — marinara sauce and the same oregano-basil seasoning, and represents the first vegetarian sandwich for the brand.

The new items diversify the company’s menu beyond the classic sandwich offerings, and follow the introduction of the Toasted Sandwich category in early 2025. This saw the launch of the Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Ultimate Italian.

The Toasted Sicilian Pizza Sandwich and the Toasted Three Cheese Pizza Sandwich will be available at Jimmy John's locations across the US.

Orders can be placed in-store, online and through the Jimmy John’s app.

Jimmy John’s marketing vice-president Kate Carpenter stated: “Who says you have to pick between pizza and a toasted sandwich?

“Jimmy John’s Toasted Pizza Sandwiches give our fans the best of both worlds — our perfectly toasted French bread, zesty marinara sauce, premium toppings and of course, a melty mozzarella cheese pull.”

In August 2025, Jimmy John’s opened its second Canadian outlet within the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls.

This development is part of the brand’s broader expansion strategy, which includes the inauguration of 12 new stores across Canada by the end of 2025.
