McDonald's Australia (Maccas) has broadened its menu with the introduction of the McSmart Meal.

Priced at A$6.95, the McSmart Meal includes a choice of two Cheeseburgers, two Chicken ‘n’ Cheese, or one of each, accompanied by a small fries and a small soft drink.

The new offering is now available in McDonald's restaurants across Australia.

Customers can place their McSmart Meal order through in-store kiosks, the front counter, drive-through and the MyMacca’s mobile app.

McDonald's Australia has announced that it will continue to provide other year-round offers including the Loose Change Menu, with deals from A$1 for a small Frozen Coke or Frozen Fanta, and A$2 for a Hamburger.

Offerings also include Big Breakfast Deal, which features two McMuffins, two Hash Browns and a Medium McCafé Hot Coffee for A$12.95.

The Bundles Range, designed for sharing among two, four or six people, starts from A$24.95.

McDonald’s Australia marketing manager Tobi Fukushima said: “We know how much it means to our customers to offer value, and that has never been more important than it is today.

“Customers can now make the smart choice at Macca’s with the McSmart Meal, as part of our ongoing commitment to serving the taste that customers know and love, but with even greater value.”

In November 2023, McDonald’s Australia announced that it would open its new restaurant location at Brisbane Airport’s Domestic Terminal in mid-2024.

Planned at a food court opposite Gate 41, the new restaurant will feature kiosks, providing convenience and speed.

The new move will inject A$7m into the local economy and create 100 new jobs.
