McDonald’s has reported a net income of $2.36bn for the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, an increase of 5% compared with the same quarter of the previous year.

For the quarter, which ended on 30 June 2026, the company’s total revenue was up 4% to $7.09bn, compared to $6.84bn a year earlier.

During the latest quarter, the fast-food giant’s global comparable sales increased 1.3%, with broad-based growth across all segments.

In the US market, sales increased by 0.8%, while the figure was up by 1.5% in the international operated markets.

The restaurant company’s global systemwide sales for Q2 2026 were up by 5% (4% in constant currencies).

The chain’s diluted earnings per share were $3.32 in Q2 2026, an increase of 6% from last year quarter.

The restaurant brand has also appointed Skye Anderson as McDonald's USA president recently.

Succeeding Joe Erlinger, Anderson will oversee around 14,000 restaurants across the country in the new role.

McDonald’s chairman and CEO Chris Kempczinski said: “This quarter, McDonald's delivered positive comparable sales growth across every segment and acted decisively to strengthen execution as we prime McDonald's for the next era of long-term growth.

"While our playbook is working around the world, we see an opportunity to raise the bar in the US and accelerate performance in our largest market.

“Skye Anderson's appointment as president of McDonald's USA will bring focus and urgency to these efforts given her deep system knowledge, operational discipline, and proven ability to drive change and deliver results for everyone in our system.”
