PAR Technology has introduced PAR Catering, a new in-house solution intended to help restaurants expand into catering while simplifying operations at scale.

Built as a native part of the PAR ecosystem rather than an add-on, PAR says the product is constructed around kitchen workflows to manage the full catering lifecycle.

The platform covers everything from order capture through preparation, payment and delivery, and links with the wider PAR Ordering suite to provide centralised control and real-time visibility across channels.

The company says the solution consolidates catering activity into a single hub, allowing orders from stores, call centres and online channels to be managed together.

Bookings are pushed straight into the POS so kitchens receive production information in real time and can remain on schedule.

The platform automates billing, accepts upfront payments and handles tax-exempt transactions, the company added.

It will also allow operators monitor live prep status and kitchen capacity, helping improve accuracy and support on-time fulfilment.

To simplify ordering for customers, the platform presents per-person pricing and complete meal options. It also incorporates account tracking, loyalty integration and one-click reordering to make repeat purchases easier.

In September, PAR Technology introduced the PAR AI intelligence suite, an embedded intelligence layer within its PAR product suite.

The AI suite will offer real-time solutions, removing the necessity for extra apps or training.
