Fast-casual restaurant chain Schnitz has opened a new site in Warrnambool, a coastal city in the southwest of Victoria, Australia.

The new location took up a corner site at Liebig and Timor streets.

The Warrnambool restaurant is operated by local franchisees Scott and Nicole Maddern. It is the pair’s first outlet with the brand.

In a LinkedIn post, Schnitz stated: “Massive congratulations to our franchise partners, Scott and Nicole Maddern, on opening their very first store and officially joining the Schnitz family. Their dedication and passion for great food and community connection will no doubt make this restaurant a wonderful addition to the Warrnambool region.

“A heartfelt thank-you to Mayor Ben Blain, Mayor of Warrnambool, for helping us officially open the store and our co-founder, Tom Dyduk, for joining us on the day and sharing his words with the community.”

The store trades seven days a week, opening from 10.30am to 9pm Monday to Wednesday, 10.30am to 10pm Thursday to Saturday and 10.30am to 9pm on Sundays.

The Australia restaurant chain was established in 2007 by Roman Dyduk and is based in South Yarra, Victoria.

Further store launches are planned for 2026.

Schnitz stated: “As we finish up 2025, what an exciting way to end the year, we look forward to more openings in 2026.”

Schnitz is expanding in Australia with a series of additions to the network announced earlier.

The company opened its 80th outlet at Chadstone Village with multi-site franchise partner Heng earlier.

In 2024, Schnitz also confirmed a new store opening at Harbour Town in Queensland with franchise partners Haider and Hafiz, marking their first involvement with the brand.
