Sodexo has handed its newly appointed group CEO, Thierry Delaporte, additional responsibility for the company’s North American operations, as the current regional head prepares to step down.

Sarosh Mistry, existing president of Sodexo North America, will retire on 31 December 2025. He will subsequently act as a strategic adviser to support the handover.

Delaporte stated: “I want to thank Sarosh for his leadership and nearly 15 years of dedicated service and contribution to Sodexo. Given the importance of the US market for Sodexo, I have decided to assume direct leadership of Sodexo operations for the zone for a period of time.

“We have great strengths - our people, our clients and our deep roots in this market - however, we must move with greater focus and at a faster pace to capture our fair share of the market.

Delaporte, who formally took up the role of group CEO on 10 November 2025, will assume direct leadership of the North American business for a period from 1 January 2026.

The French food services and facilities management company states that the leadership adjustments are intended to speed up growth in its largest market, with Delaporte focusing on value creation.

Delaporte added: “My initial deep dives with the management team have strengthened my conviction that we can unlock our full potential.

“I will dedicate my first months to assessing the organisation, identifying opportunities for acceleration, and recentring the business around client needs to deliver outsized value. This will require innovation, increased operational efficiency and disciplined execution.”

Before joining Sodexo, Delaporte served as CEO of Wipro, where he took charge in 2020.

He led a repositioning of its IT services group, including changes to its operating model, organisational structure and go-to-market strategy.

He had previously worked at Arthur Andersen and Capgemini.
