North American airport hospitality operator OTG has introduced Melt Shop, The Halal Guys and Nom Wah Tea Parlor at John F Kennedy (JFK) International Airport’s Terminal 5 (T5) in New York.

The additions form part of an ongoing commercial redevelopment of the terminal and will provide travellers with dining experiences that are “unique” to New York’s neighbourhoods, OTG said in a statement.

OTG CEO Matt King said: “Airports can often feel rushed and transactional. Our goal is to create dining experiences that feel authentic and memorable, offering guests the same beloved brands they would seek out across New York City.

“Partnering with Melt Shop, The Halal Guys, and Nom Wah allows us to bring iconic flavours to T5 and give travellers a moment to pause, relax, and enjoy great food.”

OTG said the openings stem from its continued collaboration with JetBlue and Fraport USA, the terminal’s commercial developer.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, JetBlue and Fraport USA last year outlined a major upgrade of JetBlue’s flagship terminal, tied to the Port Authority’s $19bn transformation of JFK.

Plans call for more than 40 new concessions and customer amenities at T5, including over 18 additional local food and beverage options.

JetBlue’s marketing and brand senior vice-president Stephanie Evans Greene said: “The Halal Guys, Melt Shop, and Nom Wah are the kinds of New York favourites our customers can get excited about, and we’re excited to welcome them to T5.

“Along with OTG, Fraport USA, and the Port Authority, we are making the experience at our home airport more welcoming, memorable, and true to the city we call home.”

In October 2025, OTG appointed Tory Roth as its chief operating officer.
