American fast casual restaurant chain McAlister’s Deli has promoted Joe Guith to the role of brand president.

Joe Guith joined McAlister’s Deli’s parent company Focus Brands as chief operating officer in 2014 and was promoted to the role of president in 2015.

Focus Brands North America COO and president Kat Cole said: “We are thrilled to have Joe step into the role as president of McAlister’s and are excited to see him guide the brand through its continued growth.

“Joe’s skills in developing brands, driving businesses forward, and leading large franchise systems make him a great fit for this vibrant brand.”

In addition, Guith worked with Coca-Cola in various general management and strategy roles including vice-president of global business development and vending operations. He also worked as YUM! Brands’ south territory general manager.

Headquartered in Atlanta, McAlister’s Deli currently operates more than 400 restaurants in 28 states serving sandwiches, stuffed potatoes, soups, desserts, salads and McAlister’s Famous Sweet Tea to customers.

Apart from dine-in and take-out service, the restaurant chain also offers catering services including sandwich trays, desserts, box lunches and a hot potato bar.
