Huhtamaki and CupPrint join forces

Huhtamaki has acquired the majority (70%) of CupPrint, Europe’s leading manufacturer of custom printed cups manufactured in short runs. The acquisition of this Irish paper cup company enhances Huhtamaki’s digitalisation capabilities. It also allows access to the short run, custom printed cup market. “By combining the two companies’ strengths, we can serve our customers even better: CupPrint offers reduced lead times and agility, while Huhtamaki brings its global footprint and financial strength to the partnership”, says Philippe Ferrand, managing director of Huhtamaki Foodservice Southern Europe & UK region.

MEAT Concepts acquires Rico’s Lechon

MEAT Concepts Corp., a company affiliated with the operators of Ogawa Traditional Japanese Restaurant, KPub BBQ, Thai BBQ, Oppa Chicken, Modern China and Tony Roma’s, has acquired Rico’s Lechon, an operator of restaurant. Both companies involved in the transaction are based in Philippines. The transaction enables MEAT Concepts to complement its roster of restaurant brands in the Philippines.

Crafty Devil Brewing buys Cardiff Branch of Small Bar

Crafty Devil Brewing Co., a brewing company, has acquired the Cardiff branch of Small Bar, a craft beer bar. Both companies involved in the transaction are based in the UK. Following the transaction, Crafty Devil intends to rebrand the bar as ‘Beelzebubs’ while maintaining its specialist beer focus.

PepsiCo to acquire Bare Foods (Bare Snacks)

PepsiCo, Inc., a food and beverage company, has agreed to acquire Bare Foods Co., a producer of baked fruit and vegetable snacks. Both companies involved in the transaction are based in the US. Reportedly, PepsiCo will pay purchase consideration less than USD200 million to Bare Foods. As part of the transaction, Bare Foods will operate independently and will report into Frito-Lay North America.

Star Buffet buys Frosty Freez Family Restaurant in US

Star Buffet, Inc., a US-based operator of restaurants, has acquired Frosty Freez family restaurant in Big Timber, Montana, US. Following the transaction, Frosty Freez will become part of Star Buffet’s wholly-owned 4B’s Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary which currently operates thirteen family dining restaurants in Montana, US. The transaction would allow Star Buffet to grow its business.
