Trade show Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) returns for its 40th year from 24 to 27 April in Singapore, promising 4,000 international exhibitors from over 70 countries and regions, 68 international group pavilions and 78,000 trade attendees.
The biennial event will showcase services and products tailored towards the food and hospitality industry in Asia and beyond in two venues.
The six specialised sectors involved will consist of Food Asia, Speciality Coffee & Tea, Hospitality Technology, Hotel Asia, Bakery & Pastry and Hospitality Style Asia, featuring innovative food ingredients, Halal food and beverages, speciality coffee equipment and accessories, unique tea blends, the latest bakery equipment, tableware and furnishing, disruptive technology for backend foodservice and frontend guest experience.
FHA will also host a series of culinary competitions, workshops, courses, conferences, seminars and masterclasses.
Within the programme, 20 foodservice speakers are set to discuss various new topics. Indonesian restaurant Bali Asli’s executive chef and owner Penelope Jane Williams, alongside Monsieur Spoon founder and executive chef Rafi Papazian, will lead a talk on the sustainable approach to sourcing produce, creating menus and engaging guests on 25 April.
Key topics discussed within the sustainability talk will include supporting primary producers, small providers and local businesses, seasonal menu changes and how to educate consumers on seasonal menus and its advantages.

Makansutra founder KF Seetoh is set to highlight past food in a fast world, which consists of the relevance and continuity of street food and convenient food in the food and beverage industry, consumers’ preference for speed over more time-consuming dining and simpler operations and solutions to labour shortage.
On the following day, 26 April, Food and Beverage Association of Thailand president Sanjog Modgil will discuss food and beverage trends that are changing the fine dining and casual dining scene in Bangkok.
The impact of the Michelin Guide of Bangkok will be addressed, how Thai cuisine is ready to go into fine dining, how business models are changing for stand-alone restaurants in Bangkok and ‘Eatertainment’, the future of the foodservice industry.
The St. Regis Mumbai director of culinary Himanshu Taneja will discuss Indian food and beverage trends on 26 April, including the benefits of healthy food with a cultural lifestyle.

For the food and foodservice sectors, Food Asia is an international food and beverage sourcing hub for trade buyers in Asia, while Speciality Coffee & Tea is a platform for international suppliers and trade buyers. Hospitality Technology is a platform for Asia’s foodservice and hospitality establishments to learn about the latest industry trends.
Each sector will attract buyers from airlines, convenience stores, culinary institutes, foodservice outlets, hotels and more.
Food and drinks exhibitors include Alliance Group, New Zealand’s red meat co-operative, Inex, a Belgian dairy products manufacturer and supplier and Nestle Singapore, which provides ingredients and operational knowledge to the foodservice industry.
Within the foodservice equipment sector, exhibitors include Ali Group, a global leader in foodservice equipment industry, which designs, manufactures, markets and services a broad line of equipment used for commercial food cooking, preparation and processing. Ali Group has 58 manufacturing sites, over 10,000 employees in 29 countries and 76 brands.
Henny Penny Corporation US, Hong Kong Catering Depot, Italian Mareno Ali and Japanese Nichimo Corporation are amongst the 32 foodservice equipment exhibitors also.
For the hospitality technology industry, Digi Singapore, Resdiary, Asta-Almex System Technology, Weeploy and more will exhibit gadgets like self-payment machines, self-ordering kiosks, food and beverage table ordering systems, kitchen monitors, table management software and ticketing systems.
