World Chocolate Day supposedly marks the day when chocolate was first brought to Europe in 1550 and has been observed since 2009 globally. An important day considering now approximately 1 billion people eat chocolate every day and the organic chocolate market worldwide values at $886 million.

In 2018 people will celebrate the day by indulging in their favourite chocolate treat, providing the perfect opportunity for suppliers to boost their chocolate sales.

Mondelez International

Mondelez International is an American multinational confectionary, food and beverage company based in Illinois. It operates in 160 countries and employs around 107,000 people around the world, with average revenue of $26billion. The company is a member of Standard and Poor’s 500, NASDAQ 100 and Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Modelez International manufactures chocolate including iconic chocolate bands such as Oreo, Terry’s, Milka, Toblerone and Dairy Milk, but also cookies, gum, confectionary and powered beverages. Nestle Professional
