The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 64.71% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s food service industry during September 2022 over previous month.

AmRest Holdings posted 74 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered an increase of 64.44% over the previous month, followed by Minor International with 4 jobs and a 20% drop. Compass Group with 2 IT jobs and DoorDash with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 100% rise, respectively, while Personal Touch Food Service recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during September 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s food service industry

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 54.02% share in September 2022, a 67.86% increase over August 2022. Macao (China SAR) featured next with a 26.44% share, up 35.29% over the previous month. Japan recorded an 8.05% share, a flat growth compared with August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.52%, up by 58.33% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 32.18% share, registered a growth of 55.56% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 2.3% share, up 100% over August 2022.
