May 2022 has seen an increase of 52.15% in the overall hiring activity when compared with April 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 0.42% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in May 2022, registering an increase of 0.06% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in May 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 45.83% in May 2022, a 120% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 43.75% in May 2022, marking a 250% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 6.25% in May 2022, a 50% rise from April 2022.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations registered a share of 4.17% in May 2022, a flat growth over the previous month.
Top five food service companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average flat growth in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s food service industry during May 2022 over previous month.
AmRest Holdings posted 40 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered an increase of 300% over the previous month, followed by HelloFresh with 4 jobs and a flat growth. Delivery Hero with 2 IT jobs and Minor International with 2 jobs, recorded a 100% rise and a 60% drop, respectively, while recorded a flat growth with job postings during May 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s food service industry
Macao (China SAR) commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 54.17% share in May 2022, a 333.33% increase over April 2022. India featured next with a 29.17% share, up 250% over the previous month. Thailand recorded an 8.33% share, a drop of 33.33% compared with April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.42%, up by 192.86% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.58% share, registered a growth of 133.33% compared with the previous month.
