Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 49.14% in October 2022, a 42.5% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 25% in October 2022, marking a 26.09% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 10.34% in October 2022, a 200% rise from September 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 9.41% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food service industry during October 2022 over previous month.
Delivery Hero posted 42 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered an increase of 27.27% over the previous month, followed by Greene King with 20 jobs and a 16.67% drop. HelloFresh with 14 IT jobs and AmRest Holdings with 9 jobs, recorded a 75% rise and a 55% drop, respectively, while DoorDash recorded a flat growth with 8 job postings during October 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s food service industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 28.45% share in October 2022, a 19.51% decrease over September 2022. Spain featured next with a 20.69% share, up 33.33% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 10.34% share, a growth of 9.09% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.79%, down by 1.33% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.83% share, registered a growth of 283.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.38% share, down 34.48% over September 2022.
