Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 48.94% in May 2022, a 43.75% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 14.89% in May 2022, marking a 36.36% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 12.77% in May 2022, a 200% rise from April 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 16.22% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food service industry during May 2022 over previous month.
Delivery Hero posted 18 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered an increase of 63.64% over the previous month, followed by Greene King with 14 jobs and a 6.67% drop. HelloFresh with 6 IT jobs and Domino’s Pizza Group with 3 jobs, recorded a 20% rise and a 40% drop, respectively, while Barchester Healthcare recorded a 100% increase with 2 job postings during May 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s food service industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 51.06% share in May 2022, a 14.29% decrease over April 2022. Germany featured next with a 46.81% share, up 46.67% over the previous month. France recorded a 2.13% share, a flat growth compared with April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.85%, down by 5% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 19.15% share, registered a growth of 200% compared with the previous month.
