Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina has announced the launch of its new Philly Cheesesteak Burrito.

The fast-casual chain, known for its American Southwestern-inspired menu, has added the new item for a limited time.

Philly Cheesesteak Burrito is made with seasoned grilled steak, sautéed mushrooms, onions and green peppers.

It is topped with freshly grated cheese and a cheese dip, then finished with a drizzle of jalapeño crema and wrapped in a soft flour tortilla.

Barberitos Southwestern Grille has designed the menu addition to combine the flavours of a Philly Cheesesteak with southwestern US cuisine.

Barberitos chief brand officer John Geyerman said: “At Barberitos, we’re always looking to surprise and delight our guests with innovative flavour combinations. The Philly Cheesesteak Burrito brings together the iconic tastes of Philly Cheesesteak with our signature southwestern flair.

In October 2023, Barberitos expanded its menu with the launch of its Chicken Bacon Chipotle Ranch Quesadilla and Ghost Pepper Salsa items.

The two new additions are available until January 2024.

Chicken Bacon Chipotle Ranch Quesadilla is made with seasoned grilled chicken, crispy bacon, chipotle ranch dressing and cheese, wrapped in a savoury flour tortilla.

Ghost Pepper Salsa has been launched for spice enthusiasts. The new dish features Heavy D Salsa, Tomatillo Salsa, ghost peppers, diced jalapeños and roasted garlic.

Barberitos was established in 2000 and offers made-to-order burritos, tacos, bowls and salads.
