Food major Cargill has debuted its artisan chocolate brand Veliche Gourmet in the Netherlands at Horecava hospitality fair in Amsterdam, expanding its availability across Europe.

Veliche Gourmet is a range of premium Belgian cocoa and chocolate products.

The company has also unveiled a new delivery platform to support the launch of the artisan chocolate brand.

Cargill Europe chocolates and compound activities managing director Inge Demeyere said: “We are proud to launch Veliche Gourmet, our high quality Belgian chocolate range with [an] outstanding sensorial profile that brings a full, smooth and superior taste to professional artisans in the Netherlands.

“This creates a direct link between the professional artisan and us, facilitating a unique partnership based on our shared passion for artisan creations.”

“The launch of Veliche Gourmet is supported by our new e-commerce platform – which makes us the only vertically integrated chocolate producer in Europe to provide an e-commerce platform where end-users can purchase directly from the supplier.

“This creates a direct link between the professional artisan and us, facilitating a unique partnership based on our shared passion for artisan creations – and the endless possibilities chocolate offers.”
