UK-based restaurant brands operator Casual Dining Group (CDG) has won a tender to open a Warrens Bakery franchise store at Bristol Airport this autumn.
This tender will expand the company’s concessions and franchising portfolio and allows it to access the UK’s grab-and-go market with a focus on airports and major train stations.
The new bakery will replace the current Soho Coffee location. It will offer a range of menu choices from pasties, pastries and sandwiches, to hot and cold drinks.
Casual Dining Group concessions and franchising managing director Mark Nelson said: “The look and feel of the site is rich and authentic, just like its food, and we’re confident it will be well received when we take it to the wider market.
“While this first partnership opening is at an airport, I very much see the opportunity to target other major transport hubs across the UK with Warrens Bakery sites, bringing award-winning Cornish pasties, hand-made sandwiches, sweet treats, fresh coffee and excellent service to commuters and travel-weary passengers when they need it most.”
Established in 1860, Warrens Bakery is recognised as one of the top three craft bakeries in the UK.
Earlier this month, CDG signed a franchise deal with Relam Investment to operate its restaurant brands such as Las Iguanas, Bella Italia and Oriel Grande Brasserie in the UAE.
As part of the deal, Relam Investment plans to open 11 restaurants over the next four years.
