US restaurant chain Culver’s has entered into a partnership to leverage Berry AI’s Vision AI technology in more than 1,000 outlets across the country.

Under the agreement, Berry AI’s system will use camera-based analytics to capture operational data in real time.

The tools will track areas such as service execution, vehicle movement, throughput and other core performance indicators inside and outside the restaurants.

Berry AI’s platform is built to act as a central hub for live operational information, connecting with existing point-of-sale systems and day-to-day workflows.

The integration will give operators with necessary “intelligence”, supporting faster decision-making and more consistent service standards across locations.

Culver’s chief operating officer Rich Modjeski said: “Delivering real, genuine hospitality and a consistently excellent experience requires deep insight into every interaction.

“Berry AI’s vision technology will elevate our guests’ experiences by empowering our restaurant teams to make informed decisions that improve speed and ensure accuracy.”

With the adoption, Culver’s becomes part of a group of US quick service restaurant brands that uses Berry AI’s tools to “transform enhanced visibility into actionable operational intelligence”, the tech firm said.

Berry AI CEO Eric Lam said: “The scale of this deployment underscores how fast the quick service restaurant industry is moving from AI experimentation to AI standardisation.

“Culver’s’ commitment to operational intelligence at this scale signals a bigger shift: Vision AI is core infrastructure for modern QSR’s.”

Culver’s franchise system now includes 1,000 family-owned and operated restaurants in 26 US states.

In April last year, Culver’s appointed Julie Fussner as its CEO.
