Payments and financial technology solutions provider Fiserv has launched Clover Kiosk, a new self-service system designed to streamline restaurant operations.

The company also introduced an upgraded 24-inch Clover Kitchen Display System, which can connect front-of-house and kitchen staff for more efficient order management.

Clover Kiosk and the Clover Kitchen Display System have been designed to integrate with additional Clover software and hardware.

The Clover Kiosk system is equipped with a 24-inch touch screen and an eight-inch payment terminal, and has a built-in printer.

This enables customers to browse menus, customise orders and make payments without queuing.

The self-service solution offers an up-to-40% lower total cost of ownership than similar products.

Fiserv restaurant solutions head Krystle Mobayeni said: “The restaurant industry continues to undergo significant change, and the right technology can help owners and operators adapt to run more efficiently and scale more effectively.

“Clover is enabling restaurants to blend digital and physical experiences to meet diners’ expectations, while lifting a significant weight off the shoulders of restaurant staff.”

The enhanced Clover Kitchen Display System is suitable for bigger kitchen environments and was first launched in June 2023.

It facilitates a seamless flow of orders from the front to the back of the house, directly to food preparation stations.

The system integrates notifications from third-party delivery apps, supports course fulfilment and offers functionalities such as expo-mode, bump bar support, colour-coded order status and runner ticket printing, all aimed at minimising order errors.

In September 2023 Inspire Brands, a multi-brand restaurant company, expanded its partnership with Fiserv.

Their collaboration has optimised omnichannel commerce across Inspire Brands’ North American restaurant portfolio.
