Restaurant company Gold Star Chili has expanded the use of PAR Technology’s systems, adding PAR Ordering and PAR Pay to its existing deployment of the company’s hardware, point-of-sale (POS) and the loyalty platform.
The Cincinnati-style chilli chain operates more than 55 restaurants across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana in the US.

The new tools are intended to bring digital ordering and payments into the same environment that already supports loyalty and in-store operations.
PAR Ordering links online and mobile ordering channels to the existing platform, while PAR Pay folds payment processing into the same ecosystem.
PAR Technology CEO Savneet Singh said: “When a brand has spent 60 years earning guest trust, the technology behind the counter has to meet that same standard.
“Regional brands like Gold Star have built something incredibly valuable: deep guest loyalty and genuine, long-term connections to their communities.
“By adding PAR Ordering and PAR Pay, Gold Star can simplify operations, gain better visibility across every transaction, and deliver a more seamless guest experience, all while preserving the qualities that have made the brand successful for generations.”
Gold Star’s teams were already using the PAR Punchh loyalty programme and PAR POS for restaurant operations.
According to the company, the addition of PAR Ordering and PAR Pay “completes the loop”, tying together digital ordering, payments, loyalty and operations data.
The integrated setup is expected to support workflows that can identify opportunities, automate routine decisions and link each guest interaction to subsequent touchpoints.
PAR Ordering is being used to deliver a branded web and mobile experience, fully connected with PAR Punchh so that customers can earn and redeem rewards whether they order online or in person.
With PAR Pay, every transaction across digital and in-restaurant channels is designed to feed into the same data set, supporting more targeted promotions and a more personalised experience over time.
Gold Star president and CEO Roger David said: “Gold Star Chili has been part of Cincinnati’s restaurant fabric for more than 60 years, and our guests expect us to honour that legacy while evolving with their expectations.
“PAR’s platform gives us what we’ve been looking for: loyalty, POS, payments, and digital ordering all working as one, with the intelligence to turn that data into better decisions at every location.”
