Fast-casual restaurant chain Just Salad has launched a new range of Sesame Street characters-themed reusable bowls for adults across all its locations in the US. 

The initiative comes as an extension of Just Salad’s kids’ menu, which was created in partnership with Sesame Workshop, the non-profit organisation behind Sesame Street. 

The kids’ menu was introduced in October 2023. 

From March 2024, all Just Salad locations in the US will offer the new line-up featuring characters such as the Cookie Monster, Elmo and Oscar the Grouch, under the chain’s in-store reusable bowl programme.  

Just Salad will also launch smaller-sized kids’ bowls with Elmo designs at select US locations.  

These are specifically for children ordering from the kids’ menu and are meant to help younger customers realise how important sustainability is.

The rollout of these character-patterned reusable bowls, suitable for both adults and children, will continue in April 2024. 

The programme offers lifetime rewards to customers who choose reusables over single-use options, providing a free salad topping with every bowl re-use.

In 2021, Just Salad secured capital from investment company Closed Loop Partners and returning investor Panda Restaurant Group to expand its business.
