M&As this week: Grubhub Holdings, 39 North Capital

Grubhub Holdings has completed an acquisition of HungryBoiler.com.

Grubhub Holdings has completed an acquisition of HungryBoiler.com.

Grubhub Holdings is an online and mobile food-ordering company connecting customers with local takeaway restaurants. It offers services under the Grubhub, Seamless, AllMenus, Eat24 and MenuPages brands.

HungryBoiler.com provides ordering services online.

Both companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.

39 North Capital has completed an acquisition of eegee’s.

Funding for the transaction was provided by CoBiz Structured Finance, a part of BOK Financial. ORIX Mezzanine and Knott Partners were also involved in the deal.

McDermott, Will & Emery was the legal advisor for the transaction, while DelMorgan & Co. was the financial advisor.

Snell & Wilmer provided legal services to 39 North for the deal.

All the companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.

Foodpanda has acquired food services company Holachef.

Both companies involved in the transaction are based in India.

The acquisition enables online delivery platform Foodpanda to enter the Cloud kitchen sector and launch its branded food products in different categories.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Holachef’s founders and employees will join Foodpanda’s leadership team.

Kerry has agreed to acquire Fleischmann’s Vinegar and Aatco Food Industries for €365m ($416.45m).

Kerry will pay $350m in cash to Green Plains, which is the parent company of Fleischmann’s Vinegar.

Based in Ireland, Kerry is a consumer foods group, while Fleischmann’s Vinegar is an all-natural speciality ingredients firm and Aatco Food is one of the biggest suppliers of condiments and sauces.

The acquisition will enable Kerry to support its foodservice offerings in developing markets and increase its foundational technology range.

D’Lucas intends to merge with American cuisine restaurant Nineteen61.

D-Lucas is a restaurant providing Latin-inspired dishes.

Both companies involved in the transaction are restaurant operators based in the US.
