Longtime Mr Gatti’s Pizza franchisee G. Brint Ryan has acquired the remaining ownership interest in the pizza chain.
According to a statement, the move makes Ryan the “primary owner” of the Mr Gatti’s Pizza brand.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Ryan first became a co-owner of Mr Gatti’s in December 2025. With the latest transaction now completed, he will oversee the brand’s ongoing expansion.
The ownership change coincides with the planned retirement of Mr Gatti’s Pizza CEO Jim Phillips.
A company statement added that Phillips acquired Mr Gatti’s in 2015 and has since led a “significant turnaround and period of sustained growth” for the 60-year-old chain.
He will stay on as CEO during the transition, with a new chief executive to be named at a later date.

Ryan is the founder and chairman of Texas-based company Ryan and has been a Mr Gatti’s franchisee for many years.
Since becoming co-owner, he worked with Phillips to improve the company’s financial position and prepare the brand for its next stage of growth.
Ryan said: “Jim has led one of the most impressive transformations in our brand’s history.
“His leadership established a strong financial foundation, built an outstanding executive team and created a culture that puts franchisees first.”
Mr Gatti’s Pizza currently has more than 200 locations open or in development across Texas and the Southeastern US.
