American fast service restaurant chain Pollo Campero has expanded its menu with the introduction of two new chicken sandwiches in the US.
Starting from 7 May, customers can order the Queso Bacon Chicken Sandwich and the Buffalo Slaw Chicken Sandwich, which are the latest additions since the brand’s launch of Spicy Chicken Sandwich in 2022.
The Queso Bacon Chicken Sandwich is crafted with Pollo Campero’s hand-breaded, all-white-meat fried chicken fillet, topped with a new green chile queso and smoky bacon, served on a brioche bun.
This sandwich aims to offer a rich, cheesy, and savoury taste experience.
The Buffalo Slaw Chicken Sandwich combines the brand’s signature coleslaw with a tangy buffalo sauce, creating a fresh and zesty flavour profile.
Both sandwiches are priced from $6.90 and are the first new offerings on the menu since 2022.

Pollo Campero research & development culinary manager Mark Younggren said: “Bold flavours are what Pollo Campero is all about, and we’re seeing more and more that consumers are looking for mashup options that combine multiple flavours into one perfect bite. Our new premium chicken sandwiches deliver on that trend at a great value.
“Our flavourful chicken sandwiches remain a guest favourite, so we wanted to have some fun and take them up a few notches with premium ingredients that deliver an innovative culinary twist for guests.”
The launch of these sandwiches follows the opening of Pollo Campero’s 100th US location in Miami Gardens, Florida, by its parent company CMI Foods, last month.
The launch of Miami Gardens restaurant was part of a significant $190m initiative to expand Pollo Campero’s presence in the US.
The company, originating from Guatemala, has set a goal to grow its US footprint to 250 locations by 2028, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy.
