US-based fast-food restaurant chain Popeyes has unveiled a new 12-hour drive thru concept allowing customers to place orders at a standalone menu board located in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Customers can collect their orders from a flagship Popeyes location on Canal Street in New Orleans.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen chief marketing officer Hope Diaz said: “We wanted a fun way to celebrate that we have always marinated our chicken for at least 12 hours.

“Popeyes is allowing customers to win 12 months of free fried chicken by signing up for the promotional contest ahead of time.”

“We don’t take shortcuts and this drive thru emphasises that. Now, we can’t wait to see how far our fans will go to show that they love that chicken from Popeyes!”

The restaurant chain will pilot the drive thru concept on 9 November and will accept orders through 10 November.

In addition, Popeyes is allowing customers to win 12 months of free fried chicken by signing up for the promotional contest ahead of time.
