US-based Russo’s New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen has opened its fourth restaurant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The 2400ft2 outlet is situated at Park Avenue Mall and offers an Italian menu that serves New York-style pizza and pasta.
The menu also has options for salads, burrata cheese cooked from fresh mozzarella, Italian soups, pastas as well as pizzas baked in brick oven, calzones, and desserts. It further serves Halal and gluten-free food.
The two-storey pizzeria has been designed to accommodate 160 guests, with space for an outdoor patio.
Russo stated: “We’re thrilled to grow our international footprint and showcase our elevated upscale casual dining experience in Saudi.
“It is an incredibly exciting global market that I have become very fond of. We are honoured to have the support of our franchisees.”
Founded by the firm’s CEO chef Anthony in 1992, Russo’s New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen is said to use the founder’s original family recipes from Naples and Sicily.
The recipes involve fresh handmade pizza dough, meat sauce and marinara sauce, among others.
So far, the company and its partners have opened 56 restaurants across the US in addition to eight outlets in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
In April this year, Russo’s New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen announced the signing of a five-unit franchise agreement to open its restaurant in Qatar.
The firm already launched the restaurant in November ahead of the recently concluded FIFA World Cup in the country.
