Solina, a company which specialises in providing savoury food solutions, has acquired UK-based company Rich Sauces to expand its presence in the European foodservice sector.  

Financial specifics and other details of the transaction have not been disclosed by the companies. 

This move is set to strengthen Solina’s position in the sauce market – a significant step in the company’s growth. 

Rich Sauces has been supplying its products to the foodservice industry across the UK, Ireland and other markets.  

The company is known for its classic mayonnaise, dressings, flavoured mayonnaises, sauces and bouillons.  

The acquired company conducts around 75% of its business within the foodservice sector, under the Rich Sauces and Alfee’s brands.

The remaining 25% of Rich Sauces’ business comprises private label products for food manufacturers as well as outlets. 

All operations are managed from the company’s production facility in Newtownards, Northern Ireland.
