Talkington Bates joint managing director, Paul Bates

The acquisitions “further strengthen” the company’s portfolio, having recently won £2.5 million worth of new contracts.

Tasked with providing breakfast and dinner student catering for Oxfordshire-based Yarnton Manor, Talkington Bates will also offer specialist hospitality and events services for the various internal and external events held there.

For the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, the caterer will be responsible for serving all employees lunch at its Kings Cross headquarters – a spokesperson commenting: “Our employees are at the heart of what we do and offering them a nutritious lunch is a benefit we are proud to offer.

“The lunch solutions that Talkington Bates offers really impressed us, and we are looking forward to working with them to fuel our staff through busy days!”

Principal at Yarnton Manor, Ted McGrath, added: “Awarding Talkington Bates with our catering contract was not a difficult decision. From the moment we met, they took the time to understand our business and meet our specific requirements. The fact that they are willing and flexible enough to cater for both our residential students and individual events is a real bonus for us, and fits the needs of our business perfectly.”

Paul Bates, joint managing director of Talkington Bates, said of the wins: “Offering a specialist solution is what we do best and our latest contract wins are testament to this. Whether it’s high-end dining or comforting favourites, our service is there to help businesses find the catering solution that’s right for them.”

“The opportunity to work with establishments such as Yarnton Manor and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation is brilliant for us as a business, and we look forward to expanding our portfolio even further in the future.”
