US-based Tatte Bakery and Cafe has expanded its footprint with the opening of its first New Jersey (NJ) location in Ridgewood.
This new addition marks the 45th cafe for the brand, which has established a presence in Massachusetts and has recently branched out to Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Situated at 222 East Ridgewood Avenue, the Ridgewood Cafe is set to offer a full menu of fresh and flavourful options, from breakfast to late afternoon snacks.
Since its inception in 2007, Tatte has grown from a Boston farmers market stand to a culinary brand, known for its scratch-made Mediterranean cooking and imaginative pastries.
The brand’s commitment to craft is evident in the daily activities of its chefs and bakers, as well as the baristas who create signature drinks adorned with intricate latte art.
The Ridgewood location, which offers extensive indoor seating and an outdoor patio, features Tatte’s signature warm and picturesque interior, designed for comfort and conversation, complete with unique vintage accents like an antique bakery scale and light fixtures.

By GlobalDataThe menu features fresh, elevated ingredients, including a signature cheesecake topped with hand-picked, picture-perfect berries and house-made seasonal jams.
Their special coffee drinks are made with syrups crafted in-house, such as the Pistachio Latte that begins with real pistachios.
The cafe also offers traditional dishes like Shakshuka, served with fresh challah bread baked daily, and hand-shaped Jerusalem Bagels.
Tatte Bakery and Cafe CEO Shawn Utke said: “Inspiring craft is our mission. We are investing in talented chefs, baristas and bakers. Our cafes are designed with real antiques and fixtures by artisans. We believe it’s craft that connects us and want to create a place you can call home, close to home.”
In celebration of the opening, Tatte is supporting the local community by raising funds for the Social Service Association of Ridgewood, with a promise to match donations up to $2,500.
