TGI Fridays has opened its new flagship outlet in New Delhi’s Connaught Place, as the US casual dining chain steps up its expansion in India.
The restaurant was launched by Bistro Hospitality, TGI Fridays’ master franchisee in India, together with North India franchise partner Feastary Hospitality.

Bistro Hospitality CEO Kuunal Maiti was quoted by Outlook Business as saying: “TGI Fridays currently operates restaurants in Kolkata, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Gurgaon, and now at Connaught Place, with another outlet at Vasant Kunj set to open shortly.
“This expansion will double the store count from three to six within a span of 12 months. Several additional locations are already being planned, underscoring the brand’s continued expansion and long-term commitment to the Indian market.”
The Connaught Place opening builds on the existing partnership between Bistro Hospitality and Feastary Hospitality, with further sites planned under a phased roll-out.
Feastary Hospitality managing partner Suraj Mahant said: “When we launched in Gurugram, we had outlined a clear vision for North India. Connaught Place marks another key milestone in that journey.
“This flagship restaurant further strengthens the brand’s presence in the region while laying the foundation for sustained expansion across important northern markets.”
TGI Fridays operates in more than 40 countries and offers a menu centred on American flavours and handcrafted cocktails.
In January, TGI Fridays unveiled a new expansion plan to scale the business substantially over the rest of the decade.
Under its “1-2-3 Strategic Vision”, the company aims to open more than 1,000 units and achieve $2bn in annual revenue by 2030.
