An undisclosed contract foodservice management company has signed an agreement with US-based TransAct Technologies to deploy its BOHA! system at 100 locations.

Approximately 50 locations are expected to go live this year and the remaining throughout next year.

Under the agreement, the company will deploy the BOHA! Labelling software-as-a-service (SaaS) based app and TransAct Enterprise Management System (TEMS), the BOHA! Terminal, as well as TransAct service and TransAct specifically designed labels.

The single-vendor solution will be used by the foodservice management company at its healthcare, corporate dining, senior living, college sports, and pro sports venues.

It will be used for grab and go labelling, date code labelling and to digitise and host the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) using BOHA! Media Library.

According to TransAct, the total annual recurring review per unit (ARPU) per site is estimated to be $800.

Additionally, the customer is evaluating BOHA! Sense and BOHA! Temp applications to manage its equipment temperature monitoring and enhance its food safety temperature taking compliance.

TransAct Technologies chairman and CEO Bart Shuldman said: “Contract foodservice management companies are in need of an automated, digitised labelling system for both food safety and grab and go product offerings.

“Our technology, which is implemented across a wide variety of foodservice models from quick-service restaurants to convenience stores and foodservice operators has proven to be an integral part of our customers’ businesses, helping to simplify labour and lower costs.”

By combining Cloud-based SaaS applications with hardware and accessories, BOHA! offers a solution for restaurants and foodservice companies to address their current back-of-house operating requirements.

Last July, a major unidentified US foodservice provider signed an agreement with TransAct to deploy its BOHA! solutions across more than 400 locations by next year.
