US-based restaurant chain Zaxby’s has announced the launch of its ‘Funnel Cake’ with powdered sugar and caramel dipping sauce.
The new dunkable dessert is available across several participating locations at starting price of $3.49.

Zaxby’s said that the Funnel Cake has been rolled out for a limited period only.
Customers can also order the new item from Zaxby’s app, allowing them to earn ten reward points for every $1 spent, along with other rewards and freebies.
Zaxby’s stated that people can sign up for its ‘Zax Rewardz’ loyalty programme through the mobile app or the restaurant’s website.
Zaxby’s chief marketing and strategy officer Patrick Schwing said: “We have been blown away by the response to our Funnel Cakes and caramel sauce.
“Guests are ordering our tender, crispy Chicken Fingerz with their Funnel Cakes and creating a sweet, savory combo reminiscent of the Southern staple chicken and waffles.”
The classic Funnel Cake is a first-time addition to Zaxby’s menu. The restaurant chain claimed that this newly launched item has already brought incremental sales while boosting the check averages.
Zaxby’s has also re-introduced its Southwest Zalad.
The summer salad includes fire-roasted corn, tortilla strips, freshly sliced Roma tomatoes, mixed greens, cheddar Jack cheese and Zaxby’s grilled or hand-breaded chicken. It is served with Zaxby’s exclusive Southwest Ranch dressing.
The quick service restaurant was founded in 1990 and is known for its Chicken Fingerz, wings, salads, sandwiches and Zax Sauce.
Zaxby’s is headquartered in Athens, Georgia. It currently has 925 locations across 17 US states.
In April 2023, Zaxby’s announced the expansion of its Zax Rewardz programme. It offered a free Big Zax Snak meal to customers joining this programme in spring (March to May).
