US hospitality company Craveworthy Brands has concluded the acquisition of multi-brand fast-casual operator Untamed Brands for an undisclosed amount.

Untamed Brands owns taim, Mediterranean Kitchen and Hot Chicken Takeover (HCT).

taim is a New York City-based Mediterranean concept founded by Einat Admony in 2005, known for pitas, bowls, salads and mezze made using market-fresh produce.

The brand operates 13 restaurants across New York and Washington DC.

In late 2021, Untamed Brands acquired HCT, a Columbus-based concept serving Nashville-style hot chicken and Southern sides.

Founded in 2014 by Joe DeLoss, HCT operates seven restaurants in Central Ohio and two stadium locations in Columbus.

The acquisition strengthens Craveworthy's presence in the healthy Mediterranean and popular chicken segments.

Craveworthy plans to integrate taim with Soom Soom, a Mediterranean concept it partnered with C3 to franchise in 2023.

HCT will serve as the foundation for a new hot chicken concept in collaboration with Craveworthy's Budlong.

Both taim and HCT will undergo rebranding, restaurant design refreshes and an enhanced focus on the guest dining experience.

This month, Craveworthy Brands acquired the Sigri Indian BBQ restaurant brand for an undisclosed sum.

Sigri Indian BBQ was established by Jagat Parikh and features the culinary expertise of Aarthi Sampath.

The brand is known for its diverse menu, including prepared meats, vegetables and freshly baked naan, and operates in Newark and North Brunswick.
