DoorDash updates tech partner programme to support restaurant operations

Updates raise integration quality standards and give merchants clearer visibility into day-to-day integration performance.

DoorDash has updated its technology partner programme, introducing tougher integration standards and new tools aimed at improving order accuracy, reducing cancellations and simplifying day-to-day operations at restaurants.

The updates build on DoorDash’s Preferred Integrations Program, first introduced last year, to help merchants get more consistent performance from point-of-sale (POS) and middleware integrations.

According to the company, increased reliance on POS integrations to manage orders can lead to cancellations, time-consuming reconciliation or menu inaccuracies.

DoorDash says its latest updates tackle these issues by raising integration quality standards and giving merchants clearer visibility into how integrations perform day to day.

The company has also confirmed its 2026 roster of Preferred Integration Partners, selected using current performance and feature criteria.

The latest group comprises Checkmate, Deliverect, Otter, Square, Stream, Toast and UrbanPiper.

These entities are positioned by DoorDash as among the most dependable integration providers currently working with its marketplace.

DoorDash US Restaurants head Ruth Isenstadt said: “Integration quality plays a critical role in a restaurant’s growth and profitability.

“When integrations break, restaurants feel it immediately – through missed orders, cancellations, and extra manual work.

“With these updates, we’re setting a higher bar for reliability, increasing transparency into performance, and giving restaurants clearer insight into how their technology impacts their business so they can operate with greater confidence.”

A key addition is a comparison tool that allows merchants to review and contrast different POS and middleware options based on the specific capabilities that matter most to their operations.

Further changes are being introduced with the aim of improving stability and reducing day-to-day friction for restaurant users.

These include efforts to smooth order flow, simplify reconciliation processes, provide clearer visibility into integration status and enforce tighter requirements for preferred partners.

Deliverect Americas president Justin Falciola said: “We’re proud to be named a DoorDash Preferred Integration Partner for the second year in a row.

“We share a common goal of making digital ordering simpler, more profitable, and more scalable for restaurants.

“Our technology goes far beyond a basic integration, because consistent, accurate order flow is critical for restaurants and their customers.

This recognition highlights the trust brands place in Deliverect to grow their DoorDash sales and streamline operations.”

Earlier this month, DoorDash for Business launched two new services to simplify workplace meal planning.
