Restaurant tech company Everyware has introduced Caterlord Checkout, a self-service payment kiosk for restaurants in Hong Kong.

According to the company, the new system is intended to expedite bill settlement, ease pressure on staff and support a more streamlined guest experience.

The kiosk, fully linked to Everyware’s existing Caterlord point-of-sale (POS) platform, functions as a standalone station where diners can review their bill and pay without staff assistance at the end of a meal.

The system pulls up orders using a QR code and can synchronise immediately with table and order status in Caterlord POS, logging each transaction in real time.

Everyware said that by automating payment, restaurants can release front-of-house teams from routine cashiering tasks.

The kiosk supports a range of digital payment options, including local and international e-wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Octopus, and WeChat Pay, as well as card schemes.

It also supports a multilingual interface designed to guide users through the payment process step by step.

Additionally, Caterlord Checkout’s home screen can also be used by restaurants as an in-venue advertising space. Operators can display promotions for new menus, limited-time campaigns, or loyalty offers at the point of payment.

Everyware said: “Caterlord Checkout integrates natively with existing Caterlord POS deployments, simplifying rollout for both single-site operators and growing groups.

“The hardware is available in flexible formats such as wall-mount, floor-stand, and tabletop configurations, allowing restaurants to match their store layout and customer flow.”

Everyware added that several Hong Kong food and beverage brands such as Ging Sun Ho, Horse Tea, My Café, Veggie Factory, and Yeh Lam Kwok have adopted Caterlord Checkout.
