First Watch has opened a new restaurant in Boston’s Back Bay, further expanding its presence in Massachusetts, US.

The opening is the chain’s second in the state, following its first location in Hanover.

The new restaurant includes an area of 3,100ft² and has seating for 130 people, including an outdoor patio. The interior includes a mural referencing Back Bay, along with a Boston-themed sign installation at the entrance created by local artist Blind Fox.

The restaurant also has an indoor bar serving brunch drinks, with listed food options that include breakfast and brunch items.

The menu also includes lunch dishes such as the pesto chicken quinoa bowl, superfood kale salad and a range of handcrafted sandwiches.

Fresh juices such as Morning Meditation, Kale Tonic and Purple Haze will also be available.

To mark the opening, dine-in customers visiting between 7 and 9 January will be offered a free cup of Project Sunrise coffee with a meal. The coffee is sourced by female coffee farmers in South America.

First Watch regional vice-president Mike Lankowski said: “We are thrilled to continue growing within the Boston area and to introduce First Watch’s chef-driven menu to the vibrant Back Bay community.

“Boylston Street is an iconic location, and we look forward to becoming a neighbourhood favourite where locals and visitors alike can start their day.”
