US-based fast-casual chain Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has added a new Senior Meals (55+) range to its permanent menu lineup.

The Senior Meals bundle is aimed at guests aged 55 and over.

Each set includes a small drink and a serving of small fries or tots, with the possibility to upgrade to a larger premium side.

The meals under this category feature a single cheeseburger, hot dog, crispy chicken sandwich and grilled chicken sandwich.

Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers CMO Erin Walter said: “We're excited to add Senior Meals to the menu and to give our senior guests the option of ordering some of their Freddy's favorites at a great value.

“Every meal is prepared and presented with the premium quality and craveable taste guests expect whenever they dine at Freddy's.”

In parallel, the company is moving ahead with its growth strategy in Canada, setting its sights on new outlets in Ontario and British Columbia.

Planned locations include Toronto and Ottawa in Ontario, and Vancouver and Victoria in British Columbia.

The plan follows Freddy’s initial step into Canada in June 2025.

The brand opened its first Canadian restaurant in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in June 2025 under a master franchise arrangement with local operators Jim Werschler and Gregg Most of North 49 Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.

That Winnipeg outlet was identified as the first of three units to be developed in the city by the local development group Steakburger North.

Freddy’s second Canadian site, and its first in Western Canada, began trading in September 2025 in Okotoks, Alberta.

The Alberta franchise partners have also agreed to introduce two further locations in the province.

In September last year, the brand was acquired by investment firm Rhône Group.
