PF Chang’s has further strengthened its network in the south-central region of the US with a new restaurant in Norman, Oklahoma.

According to the company, the 5,893ft² restaurant includes an open dining area, with seating arrangements for 189 diners.

Set to be officially open on 27 April, the site has been designed to reflect the chain’s “culinary heritage” along with the spirit of the local Oklahoma market.

The restaurant exterior features a custom mural designed by local artist Travis Brassfield.

The Norman location aims to serve residents and University of Oklahoma students and will also offer takeaway and delivery services.

PF Chang's CEO Jim Mazany said: “PF Chang's offers guests a premier destination to connect over bold flavours and memorable moments.

“We are thrilled to introduce our immersive dining experience to the Norman community and look forward to becoming a place where friends, families and Sooners gather for celebrations big and small."

The company noted that the opening also generates additional employment opportunities in the Norman area.

PF Chang's specialises in wok-fired cooking and serves Asian-inspired cuisine. It operates around 300 restaurants in 23 countries and at US airport locations.

In February, PF Chang’s named Holly Smith as its chief marketing officer. The role will see her oversee the brand and marketing strategy, with a focus on deepening customer engagement and directing future campaigns.
