North American travel centre operator Pilot is rolling out a refreshed strategy by introducing two new foodservice concepts.

The rollout features ‘Pilot eats’ for made-to-order meals and ‘Pilot eats Express’ for grab-and-go options.

Pilot eats is planned for approximately 400 locations and will provide access to the company’s full hot deli range while Pilot eats Express will be available at around 200 locations, offering quick pick-up options.

Pilot food and beverage senior vice-president Sean Marrero said: “We want travellers to know they can count on us to have what they need to keep them fuelled up, filled up and lifted up for the road ahead.”

Pilot plans to introduce the brands in stages, accompanied by new packaging and refreshed in-store signage from early 2026.

According to the company, the transition has already started, with the first remodelled locations in Massachusetts and Florida, US.

Both formats will be embedded into Pilot’s digital infrastructure. The latest version of the Pilot app will allow customers to look through menus, place mobile orders and access rewards as part of the upgraded offer.

Additionally, Pilot added that around 350 company-owned and operated quick-service restaurant franchise sites will now operate 24/7 to offer travellers round-the-clock access.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Pilot operates more than 900 locations across 44 US states and five Canadian provinces.
