US-based restaurant company Pretzelmaker has announced the opening of its new drive-through location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The new Pretzelmaker Cedar Rapids drive-through restaurant is located at 1115 Blairs Ferry Road NE.

Pretzelmaker president Allison Lauenstein said: “Expanding our drive-through model continues to be a key growth objective for the brand.

“Our guests were extremely receptive to the model in Mason City, Iowa, so we expect a similar response in Cedar Rapids.

“Convenience continues to be a key driver for our fans, so we are pleased to be able to serve them our fresh, made-from-scratch Pretzel Bites and all-natural lemonade on the go!”

It is the company’s second drive-through location in the region.

Earlier this year, Pretzelmaker opened its first Iowa drive-through location in Mason City.

The company noted that its new restaurant model offers portable menu items to its guests.

Pretzelmaker is part of the global franchising company FAT Brands and is known for offering pretzel products. It is claimed to be the second-largest soft pretzel concept in the US.

The restaurant brand is also expanding its overseas footprint in Canada, Guam, Saudi Arabia and Mexico.

In May this year, FAT Brands promoted Jenn Johnston to the position of chief marketing officer (CMO) as part of its leadership changes.

Johnston has supervised brands such as Round Table Pizza, Marble Slab Creamery, Great American Cookies and Pretzelmaker.
