India-based online restaurant company Rebel Foods has entered the Saudi Arabian market as part of its growth strategy, the Business Standard reported.

The online restaurant company opened two cloud kitchens in Riyadh at Sulaymaniyah and Qurtoba.

The report said the company aims to become a $100m food delivery business over the next three years.

For this expansion, Rebel Foods has partnered with Dubai-based KitchenPark and Saudi entrepreneur Fahad Al Hokair who founded the cloud kitchen company, Kitch.

The two cloud locations will offer Rebel's signature brands, including The Messy Burger, Oven Story Pizzas, Fricken' Fried Chicken and The 500 Calorie Project.

The two locations will also launch Rebel's other brands such as Behrouz Biryani, Faasos and Mandarin Oak.

Rebel Foods International Markets CEO Vishal Khithani was quoted by the news agency as saying: "The Middle East or the MENA market is a key region for Rebel Foods and we are investing significantly to build our cloud kitchen network and to strengthen our brands.

"We are extremely proud to be India's first food tech player to enter the Saudi Arabia market. Starting with these two kitchens, we are aiming to build a $100m food delivery business in the country over the next three years with our cloud kitchen network.

"We aim to add over 60 internet restaurants in Riyadh and will soon expand to other cities in Saudi Arabia such as Jeddah, Dammam and Khobar."

Currently, Rebel Foods operates more than 45 brands in multiple locations across the globe.
