Star Micronics has integrated its printing and labelling solutions with Crunchtime Kitchen’s kitchen display system (KDS) to support order handling in restaurants.
The collaboration aims to enhance the accuracy and fulfilment of orders across dine-in, takeaway, and delivery services.
It is aimed particularly at quick-service and fast-casual operators, larger casual-dining concepts, and other hospitality brands managing high order volumes.
Through the integration, orders appearing in Crunchtime Kitchen’s digital workflows automatically prompt the printing of labels and receipts from Star Micronics devices at defined stages of food preparation.
The service will issue both individual item labels and full order labels to enable the staff to confirm what each order should contain, thereby reducing the risk of missed components.
The process is also expected to help in reducing confusion and mix-ups during packing and dispatch.
Crunchtime Kitchen's business development vice-president Jennifer Karpinsky said: “When kitchens are under pressure, teams need systems they can trust.
“Bringing Crunchtime Kitchen together with Star Micronics' labelling and printing solutions gives restaurants greater confidence that orders are executed accurately for the guest.”
Star Micronics said its mC-Label multifunction printer can meet multiple restaurant labelling requirements, including item labels, bag seals, and order identification.
The company’s TSP143IV SK printer supports both sticky linerless labels and standard receipts, giving restaurants more flexibility for labelling and order verification.
According to the company, the integration also extends to Star’s mC-Print3 thermal receipt printer, designed to deliver fast, reliable receipt and order printing for high-volume kitchens.
Star Micronics’ portfolio includes printing, cash management, self-service, and customer engagement solutions for retail and hospitality sectors.
Earlier this year, the company integrated Logic Controls’ KDS with its labelling solutions.
