Prestige Holdings Guyana, Starbucks' operating licensee in Guyana, has announced the opening of a new store in Georgetown.

Situated at Movie Towne Mall, the store features the convenience of a drive-through, a walk-up window and a well-appointed café.

This is the second drive-through Starbucks in the Guyanese market. The company opened its first at Amazonia Mall East Bank Demerara in 2023.

The store’s offerings include handcrafted espresso-based beverages, Frappuccino Blended Beverages, and bakery and sandwich options.

The store will also feature Starbucks' signature Nitro and Cold Brew.

The new restaurant will also create new employment opportunities in the region.

Starbucks vice-president Kerri Hosein-Khan said: “We are looking forward to providing that Starbucks experience to more customers across Guyana and continue to provide valuable employment opportunities across the communities we serve in the market.

“Our newest location at MovieTowne is a stand-alone facility and displays the stunning work of local artist Courtney Douglas – depicting the beauty that is Guyana.

“This location provides the convenience of a drive-through to the East Coast, which I know many of our valued customers have been patiently waiting for. We will be providing that Starbucks Third Place experience for every customer.”

In April 2024 Starbucks launched Spicy Lemonade Refreshers beverages and a new Spicy Cream Cold Foam in Canada.
