Indian online food delivery platform Swiggy has introduced EatRight, a new segment intended for people looking for more health-focused meals.

The section groups items such as higher-protein dishes, lower-calorie options and foods with no added sugar, according to a Press Trust of India (PTI) report. The service will be available in more than 50 cities.

Overall, EatRight includes more than 1.8 million dishes from over 200,000 restaurants. The food delivery platform said that this feature is designed to help users discover these options more easily, without altering how they normally place orders.

Based on Swiggy’s internal ordering data, the company said that the demand for healthier food has grown year on year at twice the rate in Tier-2 cities in the country compared with metropolitan areas.

It has identified cities such as Chandigarh, Guwahati, Ludhiana and Bhubaneswar as key markets for this type of ordering.

According to various media reports, several restaurant partners are creating new stock keeping units (SKUs) that fit with increased interest in health-conscious eating.

Swiggy food strategy, customer experience and new initiatives vice-president Deepak Maloo was quoted by various media sources as saying: “With EatRight, we are offering food options that blend seamlessly into a user's regular ordering habits, remove decision fatigue through clear categorisation, and integrate healthier choices naturally into everyday food ordering.”

Separately, Swiggy has been adding services aimed at office-based customers.

In August 2025, it launched DeskEats, which it rolled out to more than 7,000 tech parks, corporate offices and business centres across 30 cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Last year, the company launched a corporate rewards programme for employees across 14,000 organisations, with a stated goal of improving engagement among office workers.
