Quick-service restaurant brand Taco Bueno has introduced aerial food deliveries in North Texas, US, by collaborating with drone operator Zipline.
The service is available to households within a 4.82km radius of the 7400 block of North Beach Street in Watauga.
Under the service, customers need to download the Zipline app, enter their address and browse the marketplace to place an order.
Once Taco Bueno completes preparing the order, a Zipline drone is dispatched to deliver the Tex-Mex meal to the customer’s doorstep.
Taco Bueno marketing and innovation director Dani Perales said: “The drone-delivery partnership with Zipline is just one more example of the work we are doing to combine the heritage of Taco Bueno with innovations across products, service, technology, and customer experience.
“This new partnership gives guests a faster, more convenient way to enjoy Taco Bueno’s fresh, made-from-scratch Tex-Mex favourites without leaving home.”
Following initial results from the pilot, Taco Bueno intends to add drone delivery services at its Frisco and Mesquite outlets by the end of this month.
The company also aims to extend the service to a further six to seven locations by the end of this year.
Based in Dallas, Texas, Taco Bueno focuses on Tex-Mex cuisine and operates 127 restaurants across the southern US.
In August 2025, the brand selected PAR Technology to modernise its operations by deploying its point-of-sale (POS) and hardware solutions across all its outlets.
