US-based restaurant chain Taco John’s is set to launch its second Fargo location next month, further extending its footprint in the North Dakota market.

The new restaurant will be operated by Fargo-based Pentex Restaurant Group, which opened another Taco John’s in the city earlier this year.

Pentex is Taco John’s largest franchisee, operating nearly 50 outlets across the Upper Midwest and working with the brand for more than 45 years.

The addition of the new Fargo site is part of a wider plan to add more restaurants in the area over the coming years.

Pentex Restaurant Group CEO Brett Itterman said: “For us, this second location is about more than growth—it’s about showing our long-term commitment to Fargo.

“The response to our first restaurant made it clear that this community was ready for Taco John’s return in a big way. We’re proud to keep building, hiring locally, and serving guests delicious food at a great value.”

The new restaurant location will serve Taco John’s full West-Mex menu, including Potato Olés and Taco Bravo.

Taco John’s president and CEO Heather Neary said: “Fargo has shown us how strong its appetite for Taco John’s is, and we’re excited to bring a second location to the community.

“Pentex Restaurant Group has deep roots in this city and a long history with our brand, making them the ideal partner to continue growing in the region.”

Founded in 1969 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Taco John’s operates more than 300 restaurants across 21 states in the US.
